Vintagetalli is now one and a half years old, and that's a great age to launch an online store. You can read the story of our company here . The purpose of this blog is to tell you about our belongings, answer your questions and offer interior design inspiration.
Why Instagram sales to an online store?
The idea behind the innovation is to facilitate and simplify the purchase process and thus improve the customer experience. We want to guarantee the customer a calmer shopping experience and the opportunity to get a feel for the online store's offerings without feeling rushed. Where do we get stuff from?
In Finland, we recycle old goods stores, flea markets, scrap yards and auctions. We are also asked to go into the attics, garages and warehouses of homes to survey old objects that interest us. We also often receive pictures and descriptions of items that people would like to get rid of. You can contact us by clicking here for the contact form.
Our destinations abroad are second-hand, antique and vintage stores and so-called flea markets. We carefully curate the products and strive to find Vintagetalli's stylish mix of beautiful interior design products, industrial style and sports vintage.
Our purchase decision is influenced by whether the product is rare enough and whether we could put it in our own home. So we don't buy just any old stuff, it has to inspire us. Often when choosing products, we have a colorful discussion about how and where the object could fit in homes or business premises. Hopefully with future blog posts we can open this up more.
You can always make wishes to us about the products you want for your interior and collectibles. Upon request, we have searched and found several desired products.
To return to foreign countries and sports, my work as an ice hockey player will take me to the Czech Republic, Plzeň, for the coming season. What a great opportunity to find products from Central Europe! The work assignment forced me to think about a functioning system for running Vintagetall, where the online store as a sales platform and the irreplaceable help of my wife came in handy.
On our car trip through Germany towards Plzeň, we stopped in Leipzig and from there we visited a vintage shop called HinrichSINNdreißig , run by a lovely couple. The sale included art, design and industrial-style furniture, wonderful lighting and old sports items. I caught something, which I'll talk about later. A big recommendation for this store if the trip takes you to Leipzig. The stop was typical for us. When we travel, we often google local thrift stores to find interesting items. While waiting for Czech flea markets and vintage stores...
As I mentioned at the beginning, your feedback has been important to us and we also need it in the development of our online store. Like sports, also in entrepreneurship, I feel it is important to strive to develop and do things better, still trusting in my own style of doing things.
