A large brass shell

A large brass shell from Central Europe. This gorgeous shell is heavy and has small round feet on the bottom to stand it firmly. The external brass surface is patinated dark, which is how we wanted to leave it. From the inside, the shade is brighter.

According to the previous owner, the clam is from the 1950s and he found it in Germany. Despite our search, we couldn't find another similar one, so it's a rare mussel!
