Rare old Pepsi drink baskets from 1962-1972. The wooden boxes are supported by metal edges and have places for bottles. The Pepsi text painted on the side is clearly visible on all boxes.
The boxes are multi-purpose, suitable for example as a shelf or as a drinking basket in the sauna.
Did you know that in 1893, pharmacist Caleb Bradham started making a cola drink called "Brad's Drink". The ingredients were water, caramel, lemon, sugar, kola nuts, nutmeg and other additives. Later, as the drink's popularity grew, Bradham changed the name to a more salable one, Pepsi-Cola. He started selling the drink at his drugstore in downtown New-Bern, North Carolina.
The name Pepsi-Cola was used between 1906 and 1962, after which the name was shortened to simply Pepsi. Pepsi came to Finland for the first time in 1944. The age of the baskets can be estimated from the fact that Pepsi used the font in question in the years 62-72.
