Riihimäki lasi started manufacturing jugs in 1948 with the intention of patenting it. That's why older measuring jugs have the inscription RIIHIMÄKI Pat.hak.N 9015/47 on the bottom. However, the patent was not granted, so in later versions only "Riihimäki" was marked on the bottom.

This jug in question is therefore an older Riihimäki production! A stylish and practical kitchen decoration element.
