A wonderful old cigar mold from the 1930s. The wooden cigar mold is originally from Mannheim, Germany.
The mold opens into two parts, which are carved with a notch for 20 cigars. The manufacturer's stamps are printed on the beautiful wooden surface. There are several molds for sale and the stamps vary slightly depending on the individual.
The outer surface of the tree is softwood and the inner surface is hornwood. The patinated wood tone makes it a timeless interior design element.
On our Pinterest account you can see an idea how to make beautiful narrow wall shelves from cigar molds!
Also a great gift idea is to fill the mold with cigars and wrap in gift paper. Also suitable as a prop for, for example, a cognac table.
Length 56 cm
Depth: 11.5 cm
Height 6.5 cm
Karl Hart started building cigar molds in 1908 and also got a patent for it. Hart & Hertel was founded in 1910 in Mannheim and began its operations as a tobacco supplier in Schwetzingen in 1911. Cigars were pressed with wooden molds until the 1940s, but after the war, automated machines began to replace the molds.
