Gymnastics mat, early 20th century

A wonderful leather gymnastics mat from early 20th century Europe. These are not seen in Finland! The hundred-year-old leather surface has an incredible patina and the mattress is filled with straw, as in the old days. The sturdy carpet weighs an estimated 35 kilos, which means it doesn't loosen easily.

The leather seams have been patched over time and are now intact. There are also two small patched holes on the surface.

The old patinated leather surface is protected and polished with a leather protector and beeswax!

A unique option, for example as a daybed mattress!
